Hi! I’m Will. I started flying in 2018 and have never looked back or down… Along my journey through flight school, I got my first real job and realized that I was obsessed with learning how money worked as I started receiving paychecks. I have since graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and work as a CFI for Teens in Flight. 

I realized that I wanted to share what I was learning about aviation and personal finance on a larger scale. I thought of creating a community where anyone could come to learn about flying and personal finance. So I started this blog to follow my career as a pilot and also share what I’ve learned about financial independence (where the FI comes from). 

FI Pilot is here to share and to learn. I want to help create the safest and most well educated general aviation (GA) and professional pilots while showing the possibilities of pursuing financial independence.
